Nicholas Enterprises operates river terminals providing the port of Pittsburgh region with complete rail,
truck, barge, and warehousing facilities. We have a proud tradition of
providing superior material handling and storage services to industry since
1902. Today, we operate two modern facilities tailored to receive, warehouse,
and distribute raw materials and cargo goods throughout the northeast, midwest and southern regions of the United States.
Freeport Terminals was established in 1952 to handle pig iron for
Armco Steel, and since has grown into a full service liquid and dry bulk
facility.
Pittsburgh Intermodal Terminals began operations in 1987 with a
site acquisition from USX that was formally a part of the American Bridge
works. It is now one of the largest steel and OCTG pipe storage and handling
facilities in the port.
Dubois Reload our newest
terminal operates in Dubois,
PA. Strategically located in Central PA, the facility is situated in the rail yard
of B&P Railroad which provides daily switching of our boxcar, flatcar,
and center beam spots. We currently provide offloading and loading services
to lumber, brick, supersack,
fiberboard, and pipe customers. Our HOLTEC unit saw allows us to custom trim
full units of lumber to specification. We also provide bulk unloading of
bottom drop hoppers for sand, gravel, and rocksalt
at a nearby facility in Brockway,
PA. For more information about
the Dubois or Brockway facilities, please contact Ed Flambard at (814)
